My friend started the whole aquaponics in my life.

All I know, I've learnt from her. But I wanted to learn from other's perspectives as well that's why I came here.

@ Mariebelle - Do you have a system thread where you share your system build? We love to see what you have going on, photos are most certainly a big plus.

Southern as in my wife's island, Mindinao?

@Curious No, I don't have one of my own yet. I'm still working on my blueprint and the materials I'll need. My friend Sue, has one but it's quite big. I can't follow everything she has on her system. She's approved of my blueprint but still insists on the expensive add-ons. Anyway, long story short, I'm looking around the forum to see how other's system work. Maybe I could improve my plans and still keep the assumed expenses as is.

@Mariebelle - You should start one, post what you have planned/sketches, i am sure members here won't mind chipping in and giving you advices/ideas.

I'm starting up a system in Davao. About a week away from planting....I hope. I'm new to the hobby myself, but through a little research from this and other sites, I have a pretty good handle on what's needed. It helps also that I'm an engineer so pipes/pumps/construction is right in my wheel house.

Where in Mindanao? My farm is about 30-40 minutes out of Davao proper, towards Calinan.

@Woodrow Hi! That's awesome! I live at the northern part of Mindanao. But my family and I thought we should go and visit my paternal grandmother in Bislig, it's I guess an hour away from Davao. I might drop you a visit, I hope I could.
