when i drilled the plate I was not sure how thick the patio frame was, it was actually very heavy duty and the self drilling Tek screws struggled to get through.

the way the patio is attached to the brick building looks very secure so I am confident that it will take most weather events.

hay haven't had much time to catch up in the past year or so but the conversion looks good mate!

A grotto sounds like a nice place to cool off, especially since it is HOT here right now. Yesterday one sensor read 38 C in the shade! (but it was probably reading some radiant heat off the porch roof which is just inches above the sensor.)

been busy doing life but thought I should update.

Tanks for the kind thoughts.

Things are ticking along nicely got some snow peas and corn growing.
water got down to 15.5 C but mainly at 17 - 18 C lately.

The SP were not taking the floating pellets much but seem to love the sinking pellets?
the sinking pellets don't get to hit the bottom before the fish take them.

What are you guys planting for winter?

Hi Slowboat.

Im surprised you have corn growing as its usually a summer veg. Beans, peas, brussel sprout, broccoli, couliflour, lettuce, pak choi, shallots are some of the things Ive got growing at the moment.

Usually during winter when the SP go off the floating pellets Id switch to cheap prawn, snails, worms etc as they seem to keep eating with those. Id never tried sinking pellets so thats good to hear.

Bok choy, lettuce, beetroot, snowpeas, sugarsnap peas, garlic, spring onions, celery, rocket, coriander, chives, baby and perennial spinach. I also have self-seeded tuscan kale, mustard greens and ruby chard in the dirt garden which do well over winter. This is my first season for AP, so it remains to be seen how they do, but everything is looking good so far and I am regularly harvesting leaves of the greens and herbs.
