Looks good bastian.
Are you taking fingerlings to grow out? Have you thought about hatching your own from egg. In your neck of the woods there's a bounty of species and supply for eggs of atlantic salmon, arctic charr, alpine charr, sea trout and that list goes on. Maybe consider a local strain of alpine charr?
What is it with all you Germans growing tilapia?????
Ben

Thanks Ben,
yeah I'm going to get as fingerlings (5 - 10cm) beginning of May in order to benefit from large eggs I'm much too late (this would have been possible from December to January). True enough, there are a lots of different popular food fish and breeders.
I have not really tough about what else I could still take fish otherwise. Since the rainbow trout is the most popular food fish in Germany and for me one of the top 2, it was my first choice. The other fish is the salmon, to take the idea Salmon instead of Rainbow Trout I already had.
However, since the salmon is the so-called King of edible fish, I would only make one more year with rainbow trout before I dare me to it :)
What the Atlantic Charr terms because I'm going pure reading items in the matter.
Why not Tilapia? -> This is relatively easy, I would like to fish in my system have that taste good, I can really think of anything better to bite into a carp ;)
The reason why most of german aquaponic practicioner tilapia have is that they copy everything from the Americans on YouTube and who happens to almost all tilapia!
But who says that of course he doesn't want to go to fish farming only or mainly on plant breeding and for which there is no better fish.

Bastian
