Any of our bee keepers care to make judgement? I'd give it a try. I like that they did a standard size so we can set theirs on our old style hives

I was very skeptical as are many on the beekeeping forum I use. There is a petty good thread about it. Micheal Bush is involved and has participated in the thread. He is also involved in the testing. That's good enough for me to stay tuned.

Wow

A bit of looking around and you can see some pretty nasty comments. Everything from scam to they shouldn't have patented it and this should design should be freely available, etc.

Tall poppy syndrome is alive and well.

Wow,

Ten years work and people are not happy that they patent the product.

Some people just feel a little too entitled, I feel.

If the people that do not think it should be patented feel this way, they should go out and invent something of use and give it free to the people. Not just complain when someone else does the work for it.

They are not being forced to buy the product. They can still do beekeeping the old way.

I'm pretty sure if we had some somebody come on here, with a kickstarter saying they had some new type of filter, it'd remove 99.9% of solids, and do the nitrification at the same time, and release the macro/micro nuts, while taking up a very small space, we'd all react the same way I'd think.

Lets just hope they can handle the logistics of a now large start up company. A lot of kickstarters fall into that problem when they have 100,000 units to deliver within a certain timeframe, and unexpected problems turn up.

Yeah that is a concern. Plenty of businesses have drowned in their own success.

Yes I think you are right Column but it would depend. The first announcement of the Flow hive came with some very positive comments from a range of very experienced bee keepers and researchers.

If Murray were to endorse a product I can imagine one response.

If Joel were to endorse a product I can imagine another response. :D
