Glad you enjoyed the SP mate, Ive always thought highly of them and Im yet to try a Jade but looking forward to the comparison, thanks for hanging onto some. ColinW has some great SP recipes which I have mimicked over the years, very nice.

Ive been home the last week but head off again tomorrow afternoon for 2 weeks, been very hot and humid here which has limited our activities. Did a bit of crabbing and beach a few times.

When I get back on the 4th feb Ive got another crabbing trip for a few days down at Yamba then Ill head up your way. Ill flick you an email so we can get this trailer organised.

Cheers

Just had Charlie up for a visit and while he was here he took a video inside my main tank. Sort of lost track of the number of fish in there so another pile destined for the freezer.

Thanks Charlie much appreciated.

Awesome Jades. I wish I could at least give them a try in a restaurant but I doubt I would find anything here.

Charlie, it was great you got to meet some of the crew, no group photo?

I had one a couple of nights ago and I enjoyed it. It was my first. I used some lemon grass, butter, garlic, parsley and some other bits and pieces in the empty stomach cavity and oven baked. There is some amount of body fat that I had to fork through in comparison to SP, Id put this down to their big eating and fast growing capabilities. I ate it all and enjoyed it but prefer SP. Ive now eaten AP silvers, jades, trout and catfish and the order for my favourite so far would be..

1. Trout
2. Silver
3. Jade
4. Tandanus

But having said that I have had some SP dishes that have smashed some trout Ive smoked/cooked so its a difficult one. Also I have only ever had one JP and yet to eat a AP barra.

p.s. Sorry Bear for molesting your system thread.
