Hi Guys.... I'm still ALIVE!!

Just got a bit involved in other business dealing and ran low on time.

The system is currently not running. I have however started to undertake the necessary repairs needed to get things on track again. We dug a large hole to build a new brick sump. It was looking great and then it all went downhill! Walls all caved in. That was a month or two ago when everything was dry as a bone and the sand does not hold together very well. Had I started now after a really good soaking I think it would have held together. So Now we have been digging and using sandbags to temporarily hold the walls up while the sump gets constructed. Will post some pics when it starts looking like something. I am going to build the sump in the same way as the fish tank and growbeds are built. Round brick tank construction. I will also have it extend out the ground for a half a meter or so to keep all critters... frogs, mice, snakes etc out and cover with an 80% shade net for inhibition of algae growth. Looking forward to getting things growing again and particularly some nice fresh fish!

Will also undertake to wash gravel again. It got pretty bunged up!

Also get a new submersible pump.

Looking forward to catching up with all of you again!
