Yeah its okay - I haven't had a chance to maintain it and the basket I had the fingerlings in had some dead ones because of the water level got below the basket which was tied to the top of the tank. We had a leak from a standpipe clog with tomato roots.

Need to setup auto fill float :)

Needs nutrients as we only have around 50 silver fingerlings and I'm sure they are only getting fed once every day or even less.

If you want to build one, there are the auger bit types. A large auger drill bit, through a tube, with a hopper on top. Hook up some sort of timer to the drill bit, it spins for a certain amount of time, and it drops the food in automatically.

There are a few pre-made ones on ebay though.

They did:

I was going to make one myself, but I actually enjoy feeding the fish. They seem so happy bobbing at the surface when I walk past.

thats the one... my parents have some commercially available ones for when they go on holidays but we all prefer to manually feed as it gives us a chance to inspect the systems

I've stopped by the garden a couple of times. Looking swell!

Does someone stop by once a day to feed the fish at the moment? And who's maintaining the water?

Cheers.
