Was nervous while taking a weeks holiday at Espy over christmas but the young lady taking care of the feeding and watering, she may have taken the instruction "better to under feed the fish than over feed" a bit over zealously, the hungry ones took to poor old Fred the gold fish's tail.

Have you seen any aphids yet? As the ants might be "farming".

I had the ants doing the same on some of my plants. They'd seem to attack the new shoots, and the plants didn't do well.

I'd get the ant rid out, and follow the trail to the next, and give them a good drink of it.

Had big weekend, Finished installing shade sails over the GB. Then made a pair of corralling nets in order to catch fish, Worked pretty good an with the help of Elmatto we harvested 6 SP:- 456, 413, 323, 350, 303 & 282gm cooked them in a smoker after salting them, also chucked in some lemon juice, garlic, fresh sage and basil. We had them for dinner with mashed spud and salad and they were very nice.

Hi Slowboat

Is the "funny" corn is on a sidestalk? It looks like a fairly common throwback to teosinte - the original ancestor of corn . On teosinte kernels formed on the tassels.

The effect my be exaggerated by a lack of some mineral. Potentially nitrogen?
