I'm currently in the middle of my build so I'll give a short series of pics with a couple notes here and there. Afterwards I may update as I go along.

I started with a sketch:

And then I had some worker bees clean out my crappy greenhouse and dig a big hole for my sump tank.

Then I tinkered around for a while. Built some beds and what not.

Then I started plumbing.

Got the liners installed and installed some trim to make it look better.

Image

Along the way I did some other things too. Like rebuilding both end walls and installing new electrical stuff.

Next up I'll finish the plumbing and build some filters to get the fishtank tied into the hydro component. I also have a lot of lights to install and some new flooring to deal with. Tons of fun!

Yup! I'll use the media beds for things that require a little more support than the leafy greens I plan on growing in the DWC. I figure they will also give a nice place for my bacteria to live and act as big lungs for the system in general.

It doesn't look like I've gotten much done but I have. The sump is now lined and I dropped the pump in it to test and tune. Got the media beds filled with scoria (almost 4.5 yards!). I also started laying the pavers. The system might be "done" this next Saturday!

I have to finish building the filters and then I can fill the system. The electrician also needs to come back and hook up all my lights and controls. There are a couple more odds and ends as well.
