aaaaand...... I'm back!
Had oretty much left the AP to its own devices with just a couple of goldfish to keep it cycled since I got the news that the catfish weren't coming.
Well weather is cool enough now that I have got some trout again, 25 rainbows from ballarat.
have made a few changes to the system, swapped the metal bathtub for a fiberglass one and turned it around so I'd have better access to the sump and pump And swapped out the two overflows for a pair of SLO's all of which ill try to get some pics of soon :thumbright:
was having very low pH readings last season so I dropped a chunk of concrete in the sump and its reading 8 now after not testing for a few months.

So what happens when you "Borrow" the air pump from the back up system, "Just for a minute" :naughty: and then a week later the power goes out for 24 hours? :upset: 21 dead trout

I bet It helped that I chucked a handful of feed in there in the dark before going to work, none of which got eaten by the looks of it.
two trout left now and a goldfish.
I'll give it 3 Kg salt and a week to settle down then i'll get some more
