aaaaand...... I'm back!
Had oretty much left the AP to its own devices with just a couple of goldfish to keep it cycled since I got the news that the catfish weren't coming.
Well weather is cool enough now that I have got some trout again, 25 rainbows from ballarat.
have made a few changes to the system, swapped the metal bathtub for a fiberglass one and turned it around so I'd have better access to the sump and pump And swapped out the two overflows for a pair of SLO's all of which ill try to get some pics of soon
was having very low pH readings last season so I dropped a chunk of concrete in the sump and its reading 8 now after not testing for a few months.

New fish seem happy today, I'd almost forgotten how much fun feeding trout is

So what happens when you "Borrow" the air pump from the back up system, "Just for a minute" and then a week later the power goes out for 24 hours? 21 dead trout


I bet It helped that I chucked a handful of feed in there in the dark before going to work, none of which got eaten by the looks of it.
two trout left now and a goldfish.
I'll give it 3 Kg salt and a week to settle down then i'll get some more
