Hope you guys can quickly help me. I've got yellow orange you blotches appearing on my tomatoe leaves which I'm identifying as manganese deficency.

What are some suggestions to supplement.

No3 still high Can and Kevin deficency seems to be fixed.

Epsom salts. I just shake a bit in, leave it a few weeks, add more if needed.

Cheap and easy.

Manutec make a Manganase Sulphate powder but I couldn't tell you if it was ok for AP or not.

That is what I'm after. Who stocks it?

Now just need some advice on how much to add.

My brain isn't working as well as I'd like at the moment but from memory it is a trace element so I should be adding less than u did of My Ca or K.

Like a lot less.

Could also be a zinc deficiency if you have ruled out bacterial/virus infection. Hydro stores used to do micronutrient foiliar sprays not sure if they still do. :)

Edit A shitload less
"Zinc levels are critical ( below 0.25 ppm can cause deficiency above 1ppm can cause toxicity)" Manganese at 0.50 ppm for tomatoes.

Edit again  It appears Seasol contains both manganese and zinc :)

Yeah I was thinking season as a fall back position but it s a pretty expensive way to go.

At 0.5ppm that would mean I need to add 15g of Mn into 3kL.

I've added this same product (purchased at Bunnings) to one of my systems with an almost instant response. Deficiency showing in Basil, Chard and Celery. In the container is a measure , I think 5gm, I dissolved 2 measures in a watering can and watered the most affected and some in each of the 7 BYAP grow beds (9kl of tanks) saw an improvement and followed up by doing the same 2 weeks later , problem seems to be solved. You don't need much. I don't have the means to measure what levels its at just visual so only added what the system seems to needed. Parts of this system are 6 years old running trout and S.P always fed on skrettings.
Be very careful with Zinc. I would only do a foliar app of that with NO runoff.
Of course there are some that say no supplements are needed just good quality fish food :blackeye:
Cheers

Bunnings and the like sell it.

Manutec also does a soluble Trace Elements that I believe contains Manganese too. It might be easier to work out the dosage required than using a straight Manganese mix.
