Good news cookie.
I only have 3-5ppm phosphate in my system and I wonder if I should add some more, maybe the phosphate is limiting my growth right now?

I guess you bump it up a bit.. but I'm trying to shy away from introducing inorganic minerals into system unless needed for buffering.. I'm try to see how the plants can grow on just MT water... but even without testing MT for phosphates I know it got loads of phosphates in it.. why.? because I was watering some potted plants with the MT water and they started to send long roots outside of the pot onto the floor.. I guess they luv the lil drink.. mind you they put on loads of flowers as well..

I believe phosphorous together with calcium are two main nutrients reason being they strongly are responsible for the development of plant roots.. without strong roots the plants will not grow great even if they are in ideal conditions.

There is no doubt there is tons of phosphorus in the MT water once it's had time to minerlaize properly.. Currently my MT is in pieces on my floor.
I need to redo it as a vortex type brewer with an air-ring at the bottom among other good things to prevent any anaerobic zones.
Should be interesting to see what comes out of it.

ok so I had nothing much to do this morning so I decided to post a lil update..

Well basically today I'm hoping to get my hands on some lettuce seedlings to replant my bed as well as to finally replant my small system bed.. that will become my expermental bed where only MT water alone will be going into it.. no other additions.. I want to see if it is truely possible to grow without supplements.. I'm really excited to see the results.in the mean time the tomatoes trees are in full bloom.. lots of flowering and fruits are finally popping out.

Looking great Cookie

So it hasn't been long yet but are you happy with the change to Media beds still?
Any plants that like DWC better?
Thanks
