Hey all! :wave1:
Glad i found a forum for my new interest! Just been doing my online research for the last month on this cool new way to grow things.

My name is Make and We live just south of barcelona , spain. So far i havent found much local knowledge on the subject and hoping to get more around here.
We live in a motorhome, less than 10 meters from the Med. Weve been here now a couple years and want to have an above ground garden, so im building a greenhouse under our new extension and everything is powered by solar with a 1.5kw petrol genny for backup and for my metalwork tools, so any AP system will have to work with solar. I have a spare 60w flexible panel to power a 3-4 barrel system, so thats the idea... Dont know really how fresh water fish would react so close to salt water, anyways i hope it will be fun trying

here's a pic of our new extension, with the greenhouse to the right and my workshop to the left. It the middle of building a rain collector , I have to say that i have never grown anything before, so everything about this is new to me about the growing , but im pretty handy and creative with the building side Image

Great to be part of a revolution... :headbang:

Wow!! What a wealth of info on this forum! Im following a few threads a the latest is on low energy AP systems. As i am very off grid and limited to power supply for now and cant really afford any major energy upgrade. So far i have only a 60w panel, a cheap solar controller and a used motorbike battery for a power source and just starting this project in the dead of winter.

To top it off, ive never grown a plant in my life, so any suggestions on how to get started would be helpful?

cheers,
Make

Welcome Make, looking forward to your system, there are a few off grid systems in these pages do a search.

I too was not experienced in gardening, but it is not hard to do.

Just figure out what you like to eat and will grow in your climate and seasons.
