I reckon there may be different types of thrive as well Derek - or is there just one?? Look at the box and see what nasties are in it.

Dereck it was definitely thrive, Muzz thought it was aquasol he was adding, if you are going to use it, just take it easy on the quantity added each time

OK guys, you've convinced me - Thrive is off the menu. With a batch of new fish (JP) on the way soon I wouldn't want to compromise my system and put them at risk.

I did Les, I am very interested in their Murray Cod and/or Yellowbelly. I need to expand my system before I get the new batch of fish.

Derekh,
nice looking system. Gotta love this AP! I bet you have had some good vege crops by now. How did the zucc's go?

How are the expansion plans coming on? What are you planning to put the silvers into?

Regards
Scott

Just a quick update but no new photos.

Over the past month I have finished building space for extra growbeds and connected the 1500 litre fountain pond. System has been cycling for 2 weeks and have planted some seedlings.

50 Silvers arrived on Friday 1 June and I have been pacing up and down like a new borns father ever since, watching for any signs of distress. Andrew from Australian Native Fish Enterprises (ANFE) was very good. Before introducing the fish into my system he mixed my water with his to check for any signs of distress due to pH imbalances and then released them.

Didj (Scott) was going to go halves with me on the SP but he is a new father for real, so AP has taken a back seat for him. Congrats to him and his partner.

cheers
Derek

p.s. Photo update next weekend.

Thanks guys. Good work with the silvers Derek. I have found my supply for IBCs that I will use for my new system. The greatest revalation for me is that I now have an AP apprentice!...well will have in a few years (haha). My current system is now putting out beans and pakchoi by the bucket load. Tommies on the vine...

Take some photos when you can derek.

EB, They seemed to have settled in quite well and are sharing their new home with 6 goldfish twice their size. I cannot see any signs of aggression or stress. Fingers crossed.
