Well hello everybody, I didn't do this when I first joined so here we go.
I'm Toby, age 28 just moved down from SharkBay to Warnbro South of Perth.

I'm a member of a few diffrent hobby based forums and it got me to thinking, how many other people share my hobbies and might be someone Iv charter or gained advice from another sight.

I love Mounatin biking, listening to live music, I also love fishing although it's not quite the same down here, I'm also into archery and bow hunting and recently got into Bonsai trees which I'm loving although they don't grow quick enough like the veggies.

Who else out there shares the same passions?

A belated introduction is no problem here Shifty. I've been a projectile hunter in my time but more on a commercial level which doesn't give much love as you would with game or bow hunting unfortunately but I do have a passion for the bush and all the activities that come with it. Very much a crazed fisherman too.

My father in law is into bonsai trees and has quite a few in his collection. Do you buy or make your own?

Yabbies are my real passion, everything about them. Been trapping and growing them for probably 30 years.

Ye I love getting out bush and back to nature, that's what Shark Bay was all about. Did you use to roo shoot then? I'd like to get my firearms liscenec at some point but for now I need to find somone that doesn't mind me controlling ferrels on there land.

Well Bonsais are very new for me, Iv got a couple I bought from a local guy selling his collection. I'm heading to try and find a good nursery this weekend to try and start a couple of myself but in pretty impatient. I might also try and get something ready for display as the WA Bonsai Society exhibition is on.

Wow you must no almost everything there is to know about them. Do you grow them in AP tanks or damns? I'd love to have a crack at catching them wild. I just put some into my tank last night but read this morning that you shouldn't really exceed 4 per square meter! In your opinion is that true?

For Bonsai, patience is an absolute, #1 necessity. Vision is a close second. Not the "I see it" kind, but the "I can imagine what this little tree might, could, maybe, will look like 3 years in the future if I don't get impatient and screw it up"' kinda vision. Been there, done that.

Bonsai has a place here. Some of us use what bonsai techniques we have gleaned from other members to make our fruit trees happier. I also like to use bonsai techniques on pepper plants. Especially as I am beginning to transfer them indoors right now.

I suspect the cutlass makes it easy to find unpaid help to embrace Ron's vision - then it's just a matter of giving a description of which parts will be chopped off

I was literally thinking that as I was topping and pruning some of my plants in my grow bed last night. The plants in the gb are growing a lot quicker than the bonsai now my systems starting to crack.

You have to be carefull of a skilled cutless brandisher, especially if he is freinds with fish in a tank rather than a parrot on the shoulder........ Very miss understood pirates those.
Do you ever try and sail round your FT in a make shift boat?
