Anyway, here's a video of my attempt...

Yours,

*All facts have been changed in the interest of preserving the narrative

It seems I've settled into this thread for the (coughsinglemalt) evening.

For those of you that were not concentrating or have actual lives to attend to (pity me :) ) ....

The "*" in "I*ve" is worth noting.

In my signature the word Ulnar refers to the Ulnar nerve which I'm pretty sure is responsible for the "funny bone effect" of smacking your elbow into something. I guess an equally correct interpretation is that it is indeed not even slightly funny when you do it.

The last name in my signature Distinendae is Latin (according to google translate) for "diversion".

So I guess the theme of the post was "Funny diversion."

I guess

It turns out if you spend several hours with the funny bone resting on your car window molding while driving, it can damage the ulnar nerve enough to cause your pinky finger and the outside half of your ring finger to turn numb... :(

Sometimes it becomes potential energy. Say for instance you used your engine to roll a car up hill and parked it with the brake on... if you take the brake off the potential energy is converted into kinetic energy...

Same thing if you pump water uphill.

Yes, but potential energy must become kinetic eventually. So all you are doing in that regard is storing it. But like a battery, it can only last so long, before either the vessel fails, or the energy leaks out.

And in the car analogy that would be when the brakes rusted closed?

Moreso when the gas tank leaks / empties. The potential energy for an internal combustion engine is stored in the gasoline.

Wow, I've been gone a while. :-| I left my hospital job and ventured out into private practice, and discovered I'd only just THOUGHT I knew what "busy" meant! My poor greenhouse has been sadly neglected for the past year or so. *sigh* I'm hoping by springtime I'll have gotten things a little more under control so I can get back to playing in my grow beds. :)

Anyway, hi everyone! I've missed you!

That young girl in some of the early photos should be easy enough to convince that tending your system is a fun thing to do.

Buy produce from her.

Pay her in Tim Tams :)
