Pak choi grows like mad in mine. Bad seed management but lately so no plants in now.
I am hoping the tomatoes will grow like mad. First proper summer with Aquaponics. We can never have too many toms. Sauce making time soon :D

Yes!! Hopefully like that :)
I have only planted dwarf green grape cherry tomatoes in the ap.
All the big boys are in the dirt garden.

I had limited success with my green grape last season - Its determinate? or Indeterminate?

Determinate I believe.
Do you take off the side shoots/suckers in determinate tomatoes?

This is my first year with these tomatoes.
I'm trying green grape, green zebra, brandywine pink and costoluto genovese.

Try both ways and compare between two plants - if you want a great green tomato 'grubs mystery green' is amazing

Yea I have started tipping one and not a couple to see the difference.
I got the green grape to try as I see it won an award for best flavour, so thought I have to have it. Haha :D
I will keep an eye out for seeds from the variety you suggested.
The tomatoes arent growing too much in the AP right now. Would that be due to low ph? I am slowly raising it day by day. It was 6.0 and I have been adding eco fungicide a little daily and i think it is up around 6.4 now.
Aim for a ph of 7?

Cheers

Hey Bunno. It has been a great ride :D
I got the trout at the beginning of May, so nearly 6 months now.
The size varies a lot. I have some that will struggle to be 25cm and some that would be around 35 cm.
I started with 25 trout and have taken 3 out so far. 1 was smoked and the other 2 were baked.

Rarely get to see them at the moment. A couple would be over 30cm and a couple around 20cm maybe!

Well after a bit of a busy period away from the forum, I'm back.

Had some problems in the past 6 months. Just when I was starting to harvest my trout at around 500g, my nearly 2 year old at the time son decided to pull the power out to the system on a Saturday evening. On Sunday morning I woke up to 20 floating trout.
Very sad day. Power cord is now cable tied in!! :)

Went and bought some advanced silver perch to replace the trout. All was going great until one evening I topped up my tank. I have a hose reel that I use and I disconnected from the bottom of the reel once done to hook up a sprinkler. What I didn't realise was that the other end was still in the water, so overnight the tank siphoned out.
Lost all but 1 silver perch!
Another lesson learnt.
For the last month or so, the system has just been struggling along. No huge plant growth, just one fish, seasol every now and then.

But today is a new day. I went and picked up 25 trout.
Can't wait to feed the little buggers tomorrow and watch them go crazy. Get some veges growing again.
