Hi bazington.

Sorry, haven't been on the forum for a while, so you've probably sorted your system out already. Feel free to drop by, I've pm'd my details.

I went 40 ml because I ran an overpowered pump to get a good flow through the grow beds. My clay is super clean .. or it was until I incorporated SLO and lost a lot of flow.

I think my beds are around 350L each, and I'm adding another 200L sometime this month. I have about 15 fish in there and that is providing plenty of nutrients.

I like timed flood as it costs me ~$50 a year to run the pump instead of $150. I also feel like the plants might do better being oxygenated each time it drains. If I go away for a few days, I just take the timer out of the line and CF just to be safe in case the timer fails.

Tried to buy some silver perch yesterday, but the stock at my local were unwell and they didn't want to sell to me. I'm thinking of alternatives which could just live in my sump tank (its not completely covered).

How many gold fish, for example, would I need in a 2000L+ tank to provide enough nutrients which 20 odd rainbow trout would? What about Koi?

I'm just keeping the levels alive with charlie carp at the moment, but the plants are clearly suffering.

Ah, wondered why I couldn't find them in Vic.. Gold fish are expensive! $10 each.. Will have to go to the country and pick up some perch.
