After months of planning and sourcing products we are finally starting to build our second large system.

This one will incorporate an RFF, conventional growbeds full of clay balls, a funky new vertical garden system, NFT tubes and possibly even a DWC.

Here is the design but will have a vertical system along the back wall as well.

First thing was to clear the area for a couple of massively annoying trees that would drop its small leaves everywhere.

Here it is finally cleared!!

We scored a heap of Karri fencing that was being ripped out and these will be used for the growbed stands and cladding.

Nice design. I like the vertical gardening aspect. Been looking at this from a slightly different angle myself.

The wall vertical, all 6.44m of it, ready to be painted (its not going here, its just the most convenient place to work on it)

i built the side wall yesterday and my lovely wife, who is a painter and decorator, got stuck into painting it all black. this will camouflage the plumbing behind the black shade cloth that will cover the entire wall.
