It's a good example of why automated away messages are a great thing if you are going out of town. Customers are usually happy to wait for their goods if they know what's going on. The same goes for a seller having supply issues.

Keeping the customer informed usually means less stress for everyone.

So what was the time line on this event...

You reported the missing food on the 12th and that it was delivered on the 14th...

Was paid for immediately as requested on 18 sept. I waited several weeks and then started the email , phone calls and Facebook messages. Finally posting here at the dates you stated. Why?

So you waited several weeks for your product after payment then made numerous attempts to contact via numerous channels but only after posting a thread here that may show him in ill light that you then got immediate delivery. Hmmm, yea nothing strange about that at all....

I just bought some from ideal fish feed on facebook - Icemans DAD - small time business for VIC people.

I really can't see how a one sided public slagging match is beneficial and even encouraged by the mods.
There is no way that Rupe can have the right of reply, how is that fair? I don't know the reasons to him no longer being on here but unrelated pot shots really don't help anything.

An email asking for more money for more products... i hope it wasn't a broadcast/notification to customers that gets sent out to inform of other services or upcoming shipment of feed or fingerlings.

And by the way I can't see how he could justifiably personally deliver a 20kg bag over 2 hours drive away (and then return) for only $100, seems like a pretty good deal to me.

I know i'll probably end up in someones bad books for this post but online judge jury & executioner doesn't seem right without both sides of the story...

I registered for an ABN recently to do a community garden AP build.

The interesting thing about running a small business (from what I can gather) is that you have to have really good communication skills with multiple dimensions of people, i.e. sending emails, txts and phone conversations to different people.

I'm the type of person that thinks everyone is at a computer looking at their email and if I don't get a reply within the hour then that person is ignoring me, take the 'seen by' feature of facebook "I know you've read my message dummy

People call me on the phone and I never get back to them in time because my life is consumed in the classroom teaching where phones (and bladders) are on a strict timeline.

The best thing about public forums is that you can post pretty much anything you like (within a democracy) and get multiple viewpoints. (I hope my students are reading this).

I agree that this has gone on too long. Rupe is not here any more and should not be slagged on here. He is on facebook and if you have a beef with him go there and I am sure he will respond. He has never done anything wrong by me, but thats beside the point.

If you read the whole thread you will get the whole story. I never intended this to get out of control, but when all other attempts failed including all the methods listed above I went public. Happy to end discussion here please everyone but there is one thing you need to do is retract the statement about the mods. They have sat so high above the fence that I personally felt it was ridiculous.

It was $99 I wanted my product, I wasn't getting my product, I got my product. End of. Read it right the way thru so I don't need to spell it out but don't blame the mods.
