He won a battle, 4-6, 6-4, 10-6 to win the back draw.

I suppose I should get back to aquaponics...lol

The greenhouse is coming along well whenever I have a chance to work on it. It has been rather busy lately..we've had the flu, bad weather, tennis, cheerleading, work...life seems to get in the way! I'll post some pictures tomorrow. Hoping to have the barn closed up by the weekend.

Just got home from a long weekend away, so I thought I better spend a few minutes in the garage tending to the kids..err.. Fish and plants. This is the first harvest of cilantro. I was checking stuff out, and noticed some black turd trails on the cilantro plants, so I started investigating and found a couple little caterpillar thingies. I didn't even think of taking a picture of them until after Bennet already fed them to his salamanders. I'll post the next one I find, I'm sure there'll be more.

The snow peas I planted were getting a little cozy with the neighbors, so I rigged up a little closet shelving wire pea hotel. It should work for a bit.

The redclaw tank. The roots are growing well, as are the plants...I think anyway...

Absolutely no idea. I seeded four or five different varieties and completely lost track of which is which..oops...mystery plants!

Now they will interpollinate, and you'll get new varieties. I have ghosts and Carolina Reapers as well as some chocolate habaneros, some chilies, and green peppers.

Almost ready to seal up the greenhouse. Great progress this week. Now, I just need it to stop raining for a minute.

Looking great Benny. Are you excited about the prospects of having a good portion of your food 'self provided'

I certainly am. It's getting to the point now that I can see the finished product and I'm getting excited to get it done. I have all the parts except the back wall of the greenhouse, which is in transit. Now it's just a matter of putting everything together. My goal is to seal the greenhouse off from the elements and start heating it so I can start the process of filling tanks and getting the water put to temp. I've enjoyed the building phase, now I'm excited to start filling the building....I can't wait until the first time we attempt tilapia sushi or the first complete salad....or the first redclaw dinner...mmmm
