I'm really surprised how healthy the plants look...even without roots..lol. I moved the tomato with the long roots out of the tilapia tank three days ago, not a single root on it. They grow them fast, that's for sure. It's amazing how much I've learned in the last couple months. This has been a really interesting adventure. I'm glad I found this forum, it's been amazing!

yeah, there's some very bright people on here. I'm not one of them...but I'm learning too. If you want to know about landscaping, irrigation, or college recruiting, I'm your man. AP is still far from an expertise, but a few more years of research and experience, and I'll be in the upper 10%...whatever that's worth.lol

Haha...I hear ya. My area of expertise lies far away from aquaponics, but I'm always up for a challenge. I think the project I started will become a family passion. My wife and kids aren't really into the building phase, but they'll be there in full force once the heat is turned on... :dontknow: hopefully...

My family like to eat the results, and think I spend too much time testing water and working out there. lol The kids love the idea of fishing for our dinner. Going to have to try that next time I harvest a few fish.

I'm prepping for the circus of trying to catch the tilapia to move them. I can just see my kids standing there laughing at me..lol they'll have a ton of fun helping, for sure. I can't wait for the first day of filling tanks, redoing screwed up plumbing, and trying to stop the leaks.

This week will be a big one. The balance of the parts and pieces that I need should be here, I have a couple friends that are going to lend a hand. Hopefully the barn is enclosed by Wednesday.

They're fast, and sneaky. They'll turn sideays when ou try and net them so you can't get under them. The biggest seem to be the best at avoiding capture. My FT is hard to get in, partly blocked by a GB and also low visibility with the iron and Rootmagic(seaweed / humic acid) so I have a lot of fun. Seriously considering trying to catch them on a ultra light next time.

Pump out 90% of the water before you try to catch them. Should make things a bit easier... Good luck!

Lovely setup. I really like the view out over the lake from your grow room.

Been busy coach! We're at a tourney right now. Bennet went in as the 2 seed, lost one, now he's going through the back draw. He's up 6-0,3-0 right now, hopefully finals at 2:30...
