Vortex filter to remove heavy crap before it gets into bio filter.
Not relying on gb's to provide bio action only mineral removal, they only have media in the plantpots and are 'intermittent continuous flow' :) controlled by the toilet cistern.

This isn't really my 2nd system but rather than spread everything out I will continue on this one.

Due to personal and financial reasons this got abandoned and overgrown.

I have given up the idea of ferrocement and the layout. Although it was abandoned I have been collecting things for it over the years.
I had a brief flurry of activity a year or so ago when I had assistance and concentrated on building the shadehouse frame unfortunately it is incomplete as I lost the assistance and could not suspend 12' galv poles 9-10' in the air by myself.
Nevertheless I will still plod along with it when I have time.

This is a rough drawing of what I intend (nothing is to scale). :)

I wouldn't do that Charlie :) , its not all for AP that will be only about 15kl total water volume and I have a long way to go.
How is your new system going? :)

I've done a few bits and pieces but I've had a lot of other things consuming my time lately. Life on the hobby farm is busier than I anticipated but I'm enjoying it.

How long have you had the greenhouse structure Sleepe and what's the plans.

Bought all the poles etc about 10yrs ago. It was a commercial shadehouse that was about to be bulldozed because of a housing development.
Intend to have an AP system, wicking beds some dwarf fruit trees an area where I can grow palms and a chook house and run.
And a quiet little area where I can sit back and have a few beers. :)

Much better than that EB; the local recycling/reuse center (you would be surprised how wasteful society is). :D

Rather happy with these (my new pipe conduits) and only three milkcrates to go, and I found some interesting plastic perforated sheets. :D
