Greetings all,
A couple of years ago I tried beer in a small tray in my dirt garden and captured a snail, a half dozen slugs and many earwigs. Unfortunately I cannot remember the beer I used. Recently I noticed that my pumpkins and beans were being eaten by some leaf eaters and tried a couple of saucers of Newcastle Brown Ale. But, no luck. only two small slugs and no earwigs. I know that earwigs are eating the leaves as I was up late one night and saw a couple nibbling away at the edges of the bean leaves. Question is which beer is best to trap these beasties?

Mix together some yeast, flour, sugar & water.

It'll do the trick and you won't need to spend money on the beer. No use wasting good beer.
