Better to find a small leak sooner, than a catastrophic leak later!

Water finds a way. Will come out quickly through a small hole with all the pressure behind.

I didn't know you a members thread on here. I tried looking once, but gave up when I saw your post count.

WOW... I would have seriously thought that bitumen would be a no no..

I think that I read a claim that even tyres were a no-no..

Sad about the leak - but then , what would u expect from all those seal components..

Did you detail what it is called and if readily obtainable.. I would not mind trying it is a garden pond..

Tyres are a no no. They are currently being discussed here:

Ahh...more. Of myself that is. Although to be fair detailing a round tank would be one of the harder jobs I envisage doing with this liner. Mostly I'll be doing rectangular boxes which will be much easier.

The liner is called Teranap and as far as I am aware there are 15 rolls in country (40m2 per roll) 4 of which I own. The importer is trying to get this product established in Australia and I'm hoping that when I get my commercial system started I'll be able to order enough to justify him ordering in a container. The problem with that is that a container is 4800m2 of liner. For the large scale system I want to do I would need several containers. For a small system I have to fully fund myself half that will be a stretch. Unless a large bunch of people want some for themselves....

Not likely. As good as this liner is I'm not convinced it will take off in the BYAP sphere. In systems that people pay to have installed though that would be another matter.

I am such a doofus.

Turned the pump off last night to do a little maintenance and forgot to turn it back on.

Looks like I've only lost one fish which was the last runt from last year which I had in the sump.

668g gutted to 561g which is about 84% recovery.

Not bad for a sump runt.

Tasted ok but not brilliant. Bits of the flesh along the back had a slight muddy taste but the flanks were fine but not brilliant.

Compared to the others from the same batch this one was a bit disappointing.

Ummm, no.

I fixed one leak and found a bunch of areas where I wasn't happy with the welds but I must have missed at least one.

With today's weather and my trip to the Elmore field days it will have to wait until Friday or the weekend.

Well that was a little scary.

About to go away for a few days and the backup air system died.

I went out past the GH and heard the backup air pump running. After a pannicked run inside the house to see if the two year old had turned the power off again I found the power on. Back out side and into the GH to find the water pump running and then out to where I've put the air pumps (outside the GH so they don't get too hot) to find them both running.

To cut a long story short the 12v power pack supplying power to the relay had failed. New power pack now installed and all is good.
