So I checked on my aquaponics setup today and I notices all these little black bugs all over my lights. I am seeing a few on plants and hydroton clay pellets. Any Idea what they are? There are small like lice, dont move fast. How do I get rid of them safely without harming my koi and putting chemicals on the plants to eat? I would appreciate any suggestions. These weren't there yesterday. I haven't added any new plants or anything. The last addition was a tomato plant about a month ago. I took a wet wipe and wiped down the lights and got what I could off there. My email is toughinboots@yahoo.com if you would like to email me there. I don't get online much to and might delay my checking of this site. Picture is attached.

I can't ID them, picture is too small. Guess would be small species of ant. Ticks when born are also very small and move until they hit something to go "up" on. Hopefully ants, since they are much easier to control. D.E., a few ant grl baits that you can put under the GB's are also very effective. Get a 20-30x hand lens, it will help you immensely in identifying bugs in your system.
