Had a courier job a while back. Driving on the highway between two major cities. Get a flat. Pull over, jack up the truck, get old tire off. Lots of trouble getting spare on because there isn't enough clearance on the bottom, and the jack was maxed out. So, I dig in the dirt below the wheel with my hands - had no other tools at the time. Dig dig dig, probably for 5-10 minutes. Cool! There's enough room to get the tire on! I turn around to grab the tire when a semi passes wayyyy too close, sways my truck, and jack falls out from under! The wheel/roto slams down in the dirt where my hands were just seconds before! HOLY CRAP! I almost lost a hand or two that night....
