A rat perhaps? I'd imagine they would be sneaky enough to get under your nets.

Any sign of poo anywhere? That may give you a clue depending on size and consistency.

Are you certain this isn't happening during the day after the net is off? This looks a lot like bird damage. Usually the finches around here like kale the most. If you can post a pic of the bed where this is happening that would be helpful but what I'll be looking for is plants along the edge of the growbed where the birds can perch usually get hit the worst. If you leave the leaves on the plant they tend to continue pecking on those rather than start on a new leaf.

Hope there is something useful for you in this post. Cheers

HI Guys, thanks for the ideas,

After a couple of days of hunting and reviewing footage, we found the culprit tonight.

Now to get rid of it.

He/she spent 10 full minutes just decimating what was left of out broc's and sprouts.

Dr.Love, a rat was the last thing i would have thought of because we have a pure bred Bengal cat, so this is one extremely brave rat!!

Hi Scotty, on your suggestion, we kept the beds netted throughout the past couple of days, but the footage showed no interest from birds, which is a relief.

Thanks again for your input guys, i really appreciated it.

Regards to you both.

Caught red handed, well done. I'm always on the lookout for rat activity since one got into my tomatoes a couple of years ago. That said, I didn't think they were into leafy greens...

A lesson for the rest of us.

However, on the non-rat side everything is coming along nicely!

I've only got about 1/2 my kale left but I got a new rat trap today.

Here is hoping.

Wow, 4 months, how time flies.

Hows things all?

So the little system is motoring along nicely, loads of food coming out.

Photos can explain the rest better.
