Hello, Had an interesting day. My name is Cliff, live in NW Fl, and somewhat retired. Any other info just ask. As for why I am here. I got a phone call to day from a friend and he basically gave me everything he had. But one item caught my interest the most. It is an Never ending Aqua ponics system 32. It is set up and we have to tear it apart and move it tomorrow. Gonna put the brim on the grill and then tear it down. So I will be visiting this site a great deal as I never heard of this system until last night. SO, thank you for letting me join this forum. By the way, I am totally into organic gardening. So, if there are any tips that would be appreciated. Oh yes. this system is running as we speak.

Tip #1 before you take anything apart, take a whole mass of pictures so you can figure out how to put it back together. In my research, I have not yet come across anything called "Never ending Aqua ponics system 32" and a quick search does not bring anything up, so without pictures you might be out of luck getting it back together correctly.

Tip #2, post the pictures. Seems like the posts that get the most responses have pictures. They love pictures here (who doesn't?)

Welcome

Welcome Seacaptain! What an ideal day for you to join us - International Talk Like a Pirate Day! Well at least it is here in Australia already. Still counts to me :)

+1 to Vida's response. Definitely take loads of pictures, and label whatever you can to make it easier on yourself.

Neat, I just googled them. Looks like you shouldn't have too many dramas as the pictures certainly make it seem like a quite simple set up. I'm sure if you ran into trouble you could email them for a copy of the instructions/manual.

Hello again, I apologize for not getting back sooner but have been working diligently on getting my system up and running. Well here is the update about the running system a friend of mine gave me.
After plenty of research the Sanctuary 48 (thought it was a 32) I was able to assemble my system. It is now running. The media I have sat stagnant in the barrels for 4 days before the first water went through. Well, I had 200 gallons of rain water collected and then added tap water for the other 100 plus. I let it run for a few days then got anxious and added 12 feeder goldfish. Took some water readings then 2 days later realized that I was doing the test wrong.. After I figured how to do the tests, the next tests showed this. PH 7.8 AM 4, n2 5+, and n3 40-60 ppm. I find these numbers odd due to other people who started their systems usually have close to 0's after the first couple of days. You think that the media was still filled with bacteria from when it was running 4 days prior? No I didn't was the media out except for the bottom of the transfer barrels. So, you think that my system got a very good jump start ? Fish seem happy at the moment and I am monitoring the vitals every day. Any opinions are appreciated. Oh yes , the straw berries that the person gave me as doing pretty good also considering they were out of the water for a couple of days. I will repost here the vitals in a couple of days for those who are interested.

Thank you, I was surprised myself when my friend called me up and offered it to me. the only problem was that I had only hours to tear the system down and move it or I would lose it. Glad I had a large truck and trailer.
I started a new topic what this same post inquiring about the system start up numbers..
