So Matt I found myself in a peculiar and sad situation today. I was with my husbands uncle who was on his deathbed (his last day with us, all very sad) but I got talking to the relatives who happen to be Maltese. They were talking about their love of rabbit and in particular the liver which when fried in butter and parsley is apparently superb.

They didn't mention guinea pig but same same (I was too afraid to ask) you should try that too!

Hey sorry to hear about your husband uncle Colours.

I reckon I'll definitely give the fried liver in butter a crack, sounds good!

Now, in watching the original YouTube clip on Frank and his Wife eating GP, they mention wanting to use the GP droppings to feed the Silver Perch in their AP but heard that it might be too high in ammonia. Inasmuch as I'll be farming quite a fair few GP, it's got me thinking along the same lines. What do you all think about using the GP droppings as pallets as fish food? Could this actually work?

Felt a little inspired after work tonight so I decided to start building a GP Tractor for growing them to harvest. Should be able to significantly minimise the cost by having the GP feed off the lawns.

Its built out of an old fence and a wooden pallet.

It's almost finished, hoping to get down to bunnings over the weekend and pick up a couple of wheels and some chicken wire mesh for the sides.

The first Sow has been in with the new boar for 3 days now, I'll leave her in until Sunday morn and then swap her with the other sow for a few days.
I'm hoping he's been a busy boy!

That puppy looks like it would like a guinea pig to play with/eat not necessarily in that order.

Found this link http://skipthepie.org might give you some ideas for your next social acceptance challenge? Polar bear? Squirrel? Possum? No mention of guinea pig tho, very disappointing...

I had bbq guinea pig a few times while travelling in Peru. I liked it, quite a tender, firm flesh. the one I had was skewered and butterflied with most of its guts intact (I ate it all :)).
Would not hesitate to eat again.

Very good! I've never tried it yet, but I'm very much looking forward to it!
Thanks for sharing gorotsuki69!

It wasn't really a GP Tractor without wheels, so I recycled a couple off an old pram, and screwed some handles on the front. Happy days!Image
