No leaks! May or may not have danced like a crazy person for a minute!

All GB's ready for gravel! Not looking forward to that tomorrow! About 1200 litres of gravel too move.... On a positive note at least I'll get to watch my system every night, I'm missing that!

Thanks team!

Reasonably happy with progress.... Then it starts raining!

Not happy Jan!

I've got piping to do weather gods! Maybe my little dance was seen as a rain dance?

Piping not as neat or logical as I'd hoped, but I had to get framed built by my brother before he went in for surgery so just had to let him build it and work around it. Got lucky on a few things meeting up!

Image

Got water flowing from 2nd FT to sump overnight, for no other reason then I can feel like it's started!

Image

SLO to sump return pipe. Milk crate was only there so I could really push into uniseal, not structural ahaha

Image

Unfortunately 2nd FT has a few leaks. Minor, but still disappointing, wait for biofilm or silicon do we reckon?

Big move of rock and water from home system tomorrow, big day ahead, wish me luck! Hope all bacteria survive!

P.S. Go Wallabies!

Half the rocks are in, other half on the way! Turned pump on and no major issues. Pretty chuffed I worked it all out to work ahaha.

Image

Returning water from FT on right (put a filter bag over top to pick up any debris I missed on build), pump overflow on left.

I love the sound of moving water!

Congratulations - big moment. I too love the sound of running water - I put a mattress on the sump lid and lay there in the sun :)

All rock moved.... Thankfully

Won't take long to clear up with all your crazy filters :-) I'm sure they'll be happy as in no time.

Hopefully! Though may have to upgrade, now that I have combined all flow from GB's and FT's, it's a lot of water! Not sure if my diy can handle!

Having fun listening to water though!

Your setup almost makes me want to visit the inlaws so I can pop over for a brew!

Is their brew particularly good or do I remind you of an old person? Haha

Been a few days, been a busy little bee!

Image

Above is water clarity after it starting out as mud soup, after three days. Pretty happy with how clear it is. And yes I cheated and bought some full size silvers, more "wow factor" for customers. Have also placed an order for fingerlings.

Image

Growbeds still looking a little sparse as above.... But .......

Image

Got all of these for $50.... From most nurseries and big box store it'd be over $200 I reckon, will update on exactly on what plants when I plant them into system.

Image

Image

First tank no issues on window, second tank can't get it to stop! If this lot doesn't work, biofilm it is! Excuse the poor siliconeing, I make a better coffee then I do using tools.

Image

Should hopefully get these clad up tomorrow.

Image

Way overdue for a tidy up!

Thanks!
