Yeah my studio.

The jungle has parsley that is massive, perennial leeks, white heritage onions, beetroot, cabbage, morgana and cos lettuce, broccoli, kale, garlic chives, chard, chives,

I changed the flow of the inlet so it scoots across the top - the trout are enjoying swimming near the surface and into the flow - I think its because of they're instinct that there might be a bug floating down stream? or is it they are oxygen starved?

As soon as I approach the tank they swell around the top splashing, mouths vacuuming the surface of the water, wanting the first bite.

Everything going great.
I have a question about P.H.
Why is my PH always around 6 in this system.
I've been adding lime and wood ash into it every day for the last few weeks.

I also have a similar problem with my trout tank. I buffer it regularly trying to get the ph above 6 but it constantly stays around that mark. I put it down to the heavy feed rates that I'm feeding causing the natural acidification to be greater

What's your ammonia/nitrite/nitrate sitting at?

I'm just curious about how far overstocked and heavy feeding you can go before it starts to go bad.

400 & 500 ltr growbeds - 40 trout? - not so much overstocked but big fish and lots of food - meant to only feed them 84g or was it 48g a day
Trace of ammonia .05? - loads of nitrate

Gday Jay
Your GB looks grate
Those trout sure do eat a lot of food, never grown them before {maybe next Winter } there's 120 SP in my system some 30-40cm long & they only eat 100g/day, that should increase as the water temp rises. I guess Trout have to be force feed to maximize the short grow season. How big are the trout ?.
Grate thread by the way!
What's perennial leeks ? I like to cook with leeks as it has a milder flavour than onion ( the kids like it ). Do you just cut the stems & it grows back or does it have multiple stems ?
Nice crop of beets there too. I have tried these in AP for the first time this winter so far though they are all leaf & no bulb/root. We eat the leaves same as silver beet/spinach so its all good. Have you had much success with these before ?

Yes beets work well - have to have the right water level and nutrients but all good atm.

Perennial leeks - they grow like heritage onions or garlic and grow smaller leeks off the base which you then harvest the middle stem and replant the outer smaller ones.

The growbed is constructed with miniorb corrugated iron and jarrah decking. bends easily around the corners and also used metal screws straight into the IBC frame.

Thanks
