spent the last few weekends cleaning out all my glass tanks, i gave a couple away so i'm down to 8 tanks, and the pool... i did the 3 smaller ones first (1 10g, and 2 20g), and put a single marmokreb in each, then started the 55's.. found a berried marmokreb to plant in the first tank cleaned, and another berried one to plant in the second 55... then i found baby cray's in one of the 20's!
finished cleaning the last 2 55's, and 1 40 long.. planted the 40 long with glass shrimp, put the cray that just released it's babies in it's own 55, and found another berried marm for the last 55g tank
i'm still thinking about using 1 of the 55's for trying out a different feeder fish.. not sure what yet though, but it's nice to have all 8 tanks cleaned out, and already producing food..
now to clean out the gb's, catch the rest of the fish and get ready for maybe something different (as far as fish type) this fall

i moved the jade plants to where the asparagus was.. now i won't have to mess with an area that is hard to reach

and the asparagus is in an spot that is easy to reach (i'm suprised by how fast the plants send up new shoots, and how fast they grow! already trimming off shoots)

Hi Keith, Nice clean fish tanks :thumbright:.

How difficult was it to move the asparagus and how old was it?

i flooded the bed for a little while prior to pulling them out, it wasn't too bad easing them out, 6 have been in since early spring, 2 were put in last fall
flooded the beds to plant them as well, it was a little rough getting them deep enough, but it was worth the effort

I have one that's been in for about two growing seasons now and I have my doubts about being able to remove it. has about 100 shoots, unfortunately none of them are particularly thick spears but growth is way better than in soil. I wonder if planting deeper would have helped with spear size, I think that might be the case :dontknow:

how deep is your growbed? mine are indoor and not that many spears, but it sounds like yours is a bit bigger than any of mine are
