I put chuck cloths on the inlets of the growbeds at school system which also looks like yours ben.
Just buried a pot and shoved heaps into it - they are dirty as the next day - should clean up the water in no time.
Also the bio slime helps with cleaning the water i.e. catching the particles.

Yeah there are multiple versions when you breed varieties -
'F' stands for filial - so when you breed two different varieties you get an 'F1' meaning 1st gen.

by F4 stage - as in saving seeds from 4 generations - you most likely have a stable child from the parents.
The idea is you save the best seeds - but you don't always get the same thing as there are throwbacks to parental gene's i.e. fibre, taste, two flowers, disease resistance.

Its a fascinating science. Peas are different to tomatoes etc.

yes I think so. Hard to tell because its in the prime sunny position. But the results are worth expanding it - mostly for easy harvest and manageability.

I can't wait to finish cleaning up the shed(priority) so the pipe set up can begin. Do you have an auxiliary pump for them and is it cf or f&d?

The pump is in the sump tank T'ed off to the expansion. You have to have clean water (sump) for the NFT to work I think.
