Lost 3 from 40 so far, moved some on the weekend, at a guess would say most are around 500gms with a few gonna push the kilo mark by end of season. Not bad for late winter/early spring.

Thats the strangest looking trout Ive ever seen, Skeggly.

Looks like it is missing a bit in the middle

If it's not too much trouble, would you guys be able to mention how old the fish are or how long you had them and what size you got them (along with their weights) just for curiosities sake?

Went fishing this morning. 2 scoops of the net scored me 4 Rainbow Trout.

These unlucky fish will be tonight's dinner.

Good looking trout there, Samrota. They appear to be about the same size so that's really good going getting them to grow at the same rate. I wish I could manage that.

I agree, low fat content too by first glance. Well conditioned trout, its nice to see.

Samrota, I understand that misshapen tails on trout are often symptomatic of a nitrite issue at an earlier stage of growth. Just out of interest, are you aware of a situation in your system that may explain their tails?

If you don't mind me asking, how old were they when they went in? Or how long were they if you don't know age, compared to how long they are now?

Looks a tasty fish. As does samrota's (same questions for you if you don't mind me asking!).

No probs. They would have been around the 10cm mark. They came from troutman.

They were very tasty and perhaps I should have pulled out another one as my kids devoured theirs and went back for more

My fish went in mid April, at around 4-7inches.

Still a few more months left of trout season.
