If you get an underwater camera you could have a screen at a convenient viewing point. :)

We'll I went for a swim in the pond and fished out the 20 trout, who are now in the system, some don't seem to have grown much but some look like they have doubled in size
On a different note my geese now have 7 eggs and the duck has 17, if she doesn't decide to sit soon they won't all fit under her.

Ph is about 7.9
Amm. 0.5
Rite. Between 0 & 0.25
Rate. 5
I have salted to 2 parts, do people think thats enough or should I go some more?
The fish look healthy but some are trying to jump out in the corners.
I also have turned the pump on full time to mix the salt in and up the 02 levels.
I placed some filter wool under the pipes to the grow beds also which seem to be collecting a fair bit of the dust out, so fingers crossed all round.

Sure are mate and just cooked up and eaten, I love them poached on toast.
Ostrich eggs are great, we work near an ostrich farm that sell eating eggs over the warmer months, $10 and and they are about 2 - 2 1/2 dozen chook eggs in size, make great egg n bacon pie plus the kids love to paint the shells.

I used to have ducks, awesome personality. My homemade pasta using duck eggs was pretty good if I say so myself.

Man ostrich eggs would be bonkers to work with

bahaha good luck with that! What kind of ducks do you have? She looks really pretty.
What do the ostrich eggs taste like? Are they richer than duck eggs even? I used to relegate the duck eggs to baking because I found them too rich to eat by themselves.

She is a karki Campbell cross something. We got them from a market as ducklings so not sure what its crossed with but the were supposed to be pure. The ostrich eggs are a bit richer than the duck eggs, I haven't tried it by itself but they cook up beautifully.

Well the pump has been running non stop all day & the water looks a tiny bit clearer and the fish have stopped jumping.
I got all paranoid that they may had died so I ran the net through and scooped up some good looking very active fishes. :D
I think I'll hold off on the feed for a couple of days and I might even be able to see the fish by then :headbang:
