How much and how often are you feeding them? Interested to know,I have 13 RT and I'm feeding them two to three times a day and giving them a small handful each time

Thanks for the compliments Ben n Jay. They are getting bigger and have another 4 months yet! Feeding time is fun to watch. :D
After the initial pea soup cleared the water has always been like that, I thought it was normal. :whistle:

DKT, they were last years fingerlings so I think that makes them 2ish.

itech, I feed before and after work. I'll throw in a few pellets to gauge their hunger then, if they smash the food,I throw in more until the feeding frenzy slows. Never leave uneaten food in the water, it will give you an ammonia spike. If they don't smash the first few pellets I throw in, I know something is wrong and investigate. Currently 5mm pellets for rt flings and 7mm for the others and 3mm and celery for the sp flings.
The rt flings look really small... :(
All trout are from the BYAP carpark sale from Troutman. I have never had an unexplained death and highly recommend his quality product.
Last year I grew some good size trout and each time I put them in the brag thread I kept getting pipped on size by Marc so I thought I'd try to give him some competition this year and now he's gone AWOL... :dontknow:

Question time.
Does anyone know what makes the patterns on the ft walls in the video?
And, did anyone else in Perth carry last years trout through summer?

Oh and yeah, I appreciate trout.

I got home to disaster tonight. Sometime during the day the pump pushed out its connecting pipe (which was tightened with a SS worm gear hose clamp).

Lost all my trout in one of the IBC's. :crybaby: They were alive this morning so i decided to clean them. Pulled out 22 dead trout at average weight of around 250g. I was hoping for at least double that at the end of the season.

Bugger! I am sure that this will be the low-point of the 2014 appreciation thread. :crybaby:

Are you going to restock ??? There's a guy advertising in our local paper with trout for sale at $2.00 @ 17cm...don't know anything about him , seems like a good deal :dontknow: Pretty sure Gavins all out ???
