A short update on the system.

Must be nice looking out that window Rob. The green on white looks nice also. Do your friends enjoy the project?

Thanks Jayendra. Friends and family are starting to love the idea now :)
Don't know how long the white will stay white.

Had an average night last night. Storm came through Bunbury. Power went out at 10pm. Estimated restoration time was 1am. They normally over estimate so thought the battery backup on the air pump will manage it through for a couple of hours. 1am come and still no power. Water was starting to get murky and air pump was struggling. Drove to work and got a generator, come home, got it all running by 1:30. Felt a bit better. Power back on by just before 3am.
No feed today, water tests were ok.
Ammonia 1
Nitrite less than 0.25

Everything all good this afternoon. I'll hold off on the feed today and start again tomorrow.
Now a few pics :)

The bok/pak choy is going to seed. Still deciding if I need more seeds from this or if I let one in my media bed go to seed.

Nice! What have you done to that tiny bugger in the front row? He's only gained about 1/4"! :-)

Thanks Squatchaponics.
I forgot about that one. I moved the plant that was originally there.
That is now a tomato seedling (Green Grape) I have put in to see how it goes.

When I finaly get to be able to do some aquaponics (drive over the road now) I would like to go the trout route also.

I'm curious what you feed your trout. I plan on doing some vermaculture projects too and think some red wigglers would be really fine in the trouts diet. Have you ever tried anything like that with yours?

Until I slow down get off the road and begin being more of a homebody I'll have to live vicariously through all of you here. Though I have learned a bunch from the forums here.

So many varied set ups people are quite ingenius the way they build, Keep up the great work guys and gals I will continue to observe and when I get started hope things will go smoothly.
