System is over a year old. Haven't seen any ammonia since cycling. Trying to increase feed on appx 45 fish in 200 gallon IBC FT to get higher Nitrate level, which is and has been at zero. PH is still high at 7.7. It (PH) had started dropping about 6 weeks ago, but with the high heat, my top off water being hard and high, it has crept back up again. Maybe a dead fish? I can't see bottom of FT with Iron and Humic acid. Fish seem fine and are eating great...or they were until this AM's water test. Ammonia was 4-5 ppm and feeding had been suspended. No Nitrites or Nitrates. I've never salted the tank...wondering if it might be a good idea? Fish are getting big...many over a pound. Will harvest a few in the next day or so. i was planning on adding some from another tank back...but may wait until ammonia drops. Growth is OK, FE deficiency and a little N from what I can tell. Heat has been rough- mid 90's.
