Steve, meant to ask before....

You running these just like nft... ie degree of fall in pipe and slow thin flow of water from tank...

or do you have the tubes filled with nutrient water for a while then drained ... ala timer sequence.???

What are you using in your net pots and out of curiousity how much did you pay for them and where did you get??

Hi Rupert...the system has a very slight fall to a cap on the end of the pipe that has a 1/2 inch hole to drain from. The pump cycles from 6.00am till 8.00pm 15mins on 15 mins off. I just have gravel in the pots and its also the major part of the bio filter around $8 bucks from bunnings for alot ! i got the pots from a hydro shop in Sunshine their is also 1 in Keilor and Sunshine north Hyalite ! 1800449376...

Happy Dayz..

Excellent, all plants from seed or? One look at that root growth and folks should see why shallow grow beds are not the best choice. Good work.

So you went wild with the AP chainsaw and ripped the canopy open  or was that the aftermath of Steve's pyro display when he lit the bbq - should never trust BIL's with "jelly".

Doing well there S&A

gotta watch it steve-o, these blokes will analyse your photos with a microscope, looking for any little thing in the background.............lucky you took in your undies from the line ;)

Just on the NFT: in between the pump cycles the water level in the pvc pipe drops to about the 50% mark which is JUST on the bottom of the net pots

Wondering about water (or pockets) stagnating if the level sits there too long... guess the cycle is fairly frequent???
