Ok so has everyone decided its not efficient (where is Frank when you need him)?
I can see a use for it but I don't understand how it works, does anyone have a good explanation? :)

It is basically a multistage airlift. No more efficient than any other airlift, just allows you to use an airlift for more things than you could in the past.

You got a link to that Yav (as in I can make one)? :)
I don't give a rats about efficiency as I will be able to power it for nix.

That is a different design to what we have been talking about Column. The key thing about that airlift is the way the air is injected. Much more efficient than using an air stone or air port/orifice.

Ok I will have to check it out on one of my other computers, that just did an Adobe Connect and a first page that looked like fluff but then the spinny thing that looks like it will take for ages. And I don't have sound on this one ATM. :)

yea that connect takes ages, you have to be patient, both with the program and the voices of the people talking.

So for lifting water to a higher level it has better bang for the buck?

As a mineralisation tank.

It struck me that something like that would work very efficiently as a MN tank. You wouldn't need to worry about solids settling to the bottom and not getting processed, or aneraboic zones. Plenty of aeration, and you already use air for the MN tank, so you're not really loosing out.

Here is a much shorter youtube version that should work in a mineralization tank.

In a mineralisation tank it is not flow that you are concerned about but rather oxyegn transfer. It may be good but you would have to check.

I think we need an unbiased test to give this thread merit.

How more fair can you get? I used the figures that they provided.
