?!??! Pretty strange, I swear that I had answered columnmn days ago! May be I didn't push the "send" button and then I powered down the computer Whatever, JJ.au, thanks for pointing to this.

Columnmn, I was just kidding about your tank freezing (I guessed that the sensors wasn't connected)

To build the beds they just layered it up. As the shapes are so different, it wasn't cost-effective to create a matrix for it, so they did it with layers.

Jayendra, I can't put a life video feed, although probably a photo feed would work... may be one photo per minute or so... The greenhouse and my home are in the middle of nowhere, 15km far away the nearest 3G antenna. I have internet connection but not enough for live streaming. That's the price I have to pay for living in the countryside! I moved here three years ago from the capital, great decision, although it has some small drawbacks...

But hey, my nearest neighbor is 3km far away, and I can listen music loud as hell, so not a bad deal!

That's what I meant - photo feed.

Please please let us know how the ammonia and other sensors go. I am chomping at the bit to get a monitoring system going but sadly I have to actually finish building the system so that I can monitor it.

hi there! Some new photos.

Everything was growing like crazy. Our fingerlings are supporting all that growth, and also, in two months since my last post, 2L os seaweed, because we're still really low in nutrients.

Sorry if I'm a bit excited with everything, we *never*expected such growth. It is really incredible for us We live in a continental weather (almost a desert), and never had that growth in anything.

Lettuces: These lettuces has about 34 days form seed. Incredible growth.


Thanks to the greenhouse, we're able to grow (hopefully, we'll see this winter) a banana tree:


You can check also a video (sorry, in spanish) about how we did a "banana replication". As we never had a banana tree (as we're in Madrid/Spain, very cold winters!) we didn't know how easy is to handle banana childrens in aquaponics!:

Cherimoya tree, taller than us!! About 1m growth in one month or so.


A general view of the edible jungle. Some growbeds are still empty because of the low nutrients level that we have. We have to wait some more months so our fingerlings grow and make poo and their things to feed the plants...


Big tomatoes! One of them weight 380g. We never achieved that weight in our home!


We also have a mango tree and an avocado tree. I have no photos of them, but they will come soon The avocado transplant was very hard for the avocado and it lost about 70% of the leaves. But one month later, we're observing the first small leaves growing again, yiihaaaaa!!

One more thing: cucumbers. They grow like crazy. With 3 cucumber plants we're getting about 10Kg of cucumbers each 3 days or so.
