I posted this originally on 25 / 11 / 13. ^^

Ok, this is a very, very long shot.
buuuuuut, Did anyone here who is a lurker or never posted about this take advantage of this ad?
Would there be any chance that you would still have the guys details somewhere? in an email? on your mobile phone?

im really trying to track this guy down again for a friend - in the hopes he has more IBCs and is still selling them - and am running into dead ends everywhere.

That could go a long way to explaining issues I've had with both my puters in the last few weeks. Over the last couple of months I've been on Gumtree quite a bit, looking as well as listing items. I'd saved some links to items in my favourites.

Then in the last few weeks my puters have being doing weird sh!t. It started with them slowing down dramatically, then not performing certain standard functions, among other issues. It then culminated in them completely freezing at certain times, to the point I had to pull the plug and restart them in safe mode.

I googled the symptoms and found a geek forum where it was suggested I had a "rogue link", and it was probably in a page I had book marked or save in my favourites. I ran full Zone Alarm and Malwarebytes scans. Malwarebytes found a "rogue link"... so it was in there.

I deleted all saved links to back well before I'd been having the issues, cleared internet history, restored to a previous known good point way back, then updated and ran Zone Alarm, Malwarebytes, CCleaner and tdsskiller scans... it's all good now, computer feels like a Ferrari again... Thanks Gumtree.

Sometimes ads can contain nasty code that gets into the system. Wrong ad gets put onto the system and it'll pop up with that.

However I'd expect better from ebay/gumtree.

This is a long shot probably, but I was wondering if any Perth APers bought some of the blue and black plastic tubs that a bloke was selling on Gumtree a few weeks ago.

These ones:

I tried to get some from him but he sold out before I could get as trailer organised. He had about 600 to start with, and since they hold water/gravel I thought an enthusiast on the forum might have picked some up.

If so, does anyone want to on-sell about 5-10 to me? He was selling them for $5ea and I'm willing to pay up to $7ea.

Thanks guys and gals!

They said it cost up to $120,000 to get up and running. I imagine they are inflating that a bit.

Think they bit off more than they could chew?
