Got the plumbing all sorted for the new grow bed just have to get the gravel now and cut some ply to sit under it and support it properly.

First seedlings popping up which is cool as I thought it may have been to cold.

Rhubarb crowns are kicking along happily also.

And not AP related but the chookys have started laying again, shame its under a tonne of scrap metal.

And to help pass the time while I wait for the first system to cycle heres the first pic of system 2

This weather is crazy, yesterday the kids where throwing snowballs at me, literally, and today I was washing gravel in a tshirt enjoying the sunshine.

Gravel washing bucket was slow but worked ok

GB2 filled and plumbed, only problem is that until I get a bigger pump im struggling to flood it as the drain holes in the stand pipe are to big, I'll have to block one with some silicone tomorrow

You should use your gravel washing bucket as an inground worm farm - they work a treat.

Is that in the grow bed or the dirt jay?

Bullwinkle had a 100-150mm pipe as an inground kitchen scrap worm farm in his AP.

I had a bucket like that in my dirt garden which I since replaced with 150mm pipe for more grow realestate.

Cool, not sure I'm game to put them in the grow bed all the kitchen scraps go to the chooks and I'm already paranoid that the chooks will destroy the AP some how like they always do in the dirt gardens.

You can put banana skins directly into growbeds for minerals

Scored another IBC today so I'm thinking I might double up on my fish tank space, I'm not going to try and keep extra fish just give them more space and increase the water volume.

Just ordered a 5000 lph pump, which should get a little more water turnover.
