For some reason after adding the photo the text was deleted

The suspense is over

Just received a salt meter in the mail today that I purchased on eBay that I got for 59 bux so that I can test when salting my trout and when getting it back to fresh (1ppt) anyway, my question is when I salted the trout I did it to ppt and my meter displays mg/l so how do I convert that?
I think mg/l is the same as ppm (million)

Cheers

mg/l is ppm w/v , which is equal to w/w if the liquid is water, which it is for AP

w/v = weight per volume
w/w = weight per weight

If you divide the answer in mg/l by 1000, then that'll be your answer in ppt.
ie. if the meter gives you an answer of 5000mg/l, then your reading is 5ppt.

Yep that sounds about right from when I put 10ppt then did a 50% water change a day later and tested it and was 5000 mg/l
