Test this afternoon: pH 7, nitrites - just off 0, nitrates 0 and ammonia 1. We added more duck weed to the tank and will get more tomorrow. The fish aren't flashing, we're not feeding and the fish seem ok.

cool. you do need SOME ammonia to get things kicking. i'd feed to keep the ammo at 1 until your nitrites pick up. By then any ammonia produced will happily be converted to nitrites so you can guage how much to feed by the nitrites.

Stare at the graph and it becomes clear ;)

Oh, and you ommitted one of the tests! How many ppm FUN are you having ;) Its gotta be FUN :)

I loved geometry, myself. Algebra was OK. Calculus was dreadful.

geometry i didn't have much time for

calculus was cool if you paid attention enough, good for working out transit time of a person if you threw them off a building (excluding air resistance) LOL

Algebra is the arithmetic of higher math. It was okay, but not as much fun as other stuff. Geometry is the basics of proofs - fun, but not all that exciting. Calculus - now we're talking more fun!, but still a basic workhorse. Abstract algebra - now we start having real fun! Number theory - lots of chuckles and giggles - get to use more proofs and have real fun! (Abstract [Modern] Algebra is what got me into computer networking - The number theory behind line encoding, CRC codes, error detection/correction, and encryption algorithms are fascinating!) Diff EQ - 1001 ways to make an algebra error - cool concepts, but really hard to get the right answer!

Okay, now I've revealed that I peg the Geek-O-Meter!
