Yes LB, that will be for sure if you use gravel I would think, but on the other hand those boatds are pretty stiff in their own right. I guess you will find out soon enough. The other option is to use coco peat. I have one grow bed with that in as an experiment, going good so far, it's light, drains very well and retains moisture very well, but on the down side, it sends the water very, very brown, like a very, very strong cup of tea. The Jades don't mind though. A quote from the Qld Gov website re Jade Perch
Waters are generally highly turbid and have a wide temperature and conductivity range.
Barcoo grunter is marketed under the name Jade perch.

So they are used to living in discoloured water.

That would explain why mine just like to sit in the shadows. They are not very sociable - not like when I was hand feeding them in the aquarium.

Also would explain why mine are very happy with visibility down to about 3 inches

LB, you quiet achiever :) LOL

Good choice with the EDPM, i believe its much more puncture resistant than the PVC too.............a bonus if you use gravel :)

silver perch. Bulletproof in a new system I reckon. Very forgiving. Also very active and perfect for the climate. Good luck!

Hey, LB, welcome back :)

Maybe even try some trout?

You're not new at ap by any means, and the temps probably get quite low over winter........

Give the trout a run over winter i say.
