They are really just a different style of bio media for surface area colonisation, exactly the same BSA as bio balls but I chose this style for its ease in modular design for flushing, cleaning and draining.

2 x 2500L FT, 2 x 1500L FT, 2 x 1000L MT, 2 x 200L combination slimmer/polishers, 1 x 500L settling/distribution tank. All that will be inside a 10 x 9 partitioned shed.

That should keep your brains ticking for a while.. :)

Wow. So not counting grow beds/DWC you're already running 11000L of water. Very impressive. I hope you're not going to have to drain the local water supply at system start up.
