Take some suckers of the celebs and stick them in the media to keep them going before you pull them. As for me....all my weapons are for animals. After nearly 33 years of strictly bowhunting I broke down and took one with muzzy. I still have never took a deerl with a modern weapon. I have tried with various guns but there was never a shot. So I stick with what works. I have taken turkey with shotgun but more with a bow. I have a Ruger stainless 10-22 that needs to go to a good kid.

You still owe me pics of bull gills and your dirt garden.

Your right I have failed as far as the blue gill go, I will try my best to fish this weekend. Just been crazy busy.

I have taken one buck with a bow, but late season last year I picked up a new bow, so this will be the first season I will be committed to bow hunting till rifle season rolls around. Have a nice trail picked out, and plan on getting a camera setup on it this weekend.

Not real bad, I added a solar charged motion activated light on the tree adjacent to it, and since then havent seen one

We have had a good bit of rain this year so everything is real green, the deer arent even hitting the feeders yet with all that foliage

Although I do have one culprit that steals one tom each night, eats half then leaves the other half next to the garden.

Think its a skunk cause the other night I walked to get a jap to go with dinner, it was almost dark. There was a figure standing next to the garden. I thought it was a barn cat, it was about 8 ft away. I slowly got my phone out and turned on the flash light app. Soon as I raised it, I noticed it was the business end of a skunk with his tail stuck straight up in the air.

Have no idea why he didnt spray, probably the ninja moves I pulled trying to get away

They must be, not stocked by us. Probably brought in by birds.

Well been a while since I posted, so thought I would give an amazing update.

About once a week I have to add a little water to the system for what gets used up and evaporates. Especially in this Texas heat. Well from the faucet with well water it takes me 3 joined hoses to get to FT. Well I was in a hurry one night so ran the hose in the tank, turned the water on, waited for it to get to level, then disconnected the 2nd and 3rd to to switch the other to outdoor garden, and I made a stupid mistake. The end of the hose that was in the tank was at a lower elevation then what was in the tank. I was in a hurry to get to a dinner so I didnt even see it happen, but over the course of the 24 hrs, it siphoned every last drop out of the system. I walked into the shop the next evening and didnt hear the purring off the pumps and knew something was wrong. So in the end, I lost all my water, all 3 pumps locked up cause of running dry. With the heat things didnt go so well.

It took me 4 days to get the system back up and running being this happened on a Friday and how long it took for pumps to arrive, then on the 5th I was able to stock with some small tilapia I caught out of a buddies tank with a cast net.

So basically starting over from scratch lol

Only the grape toms survived, and about 50% of the pepper plants. Some are bouncing back. But for some reason, maybe cause of the lack of running water I have become completely over whelmed by fireants. They are ALL over my pepper plants farming aphids. Any tips to get them the heck out!!!????

Other than that, been busy with holsters and work as usual, but still pissed about my own human error.

Flood the beds and leave them flooded for about 15 minutes, and do that over and over till the ants are gone. I had ants bad once, did this and have not had any issues since.

Thanks Katmac, few of the pepper plants are bouncing back

Helo, most of these are coming in on the wood around the grow beds. I think I remember someone saying something that was safe to sprinkle on grow beds and surrounding areas, but dont remember where or what it was

Looks like 10-12 inch catfish :support:. Hope you where able to get everything going again without to much trouble. You had some nice plants. What about the dwarf trees any of those still OK?

I had something similar dropped a few fittings into the IBC and could not see them. Pumped water out into three 55g barrels and found the fittings. Pumped all of the water back into the IBC from each of the barrels and after a few minutes herd the pump sucking the bottom of the last one and unplugged the pump. That last barrel was the sump and all of the water back siphoned into the barrel and overflowed into the yard. This is not a complete system but was wanting the water to age naturally and had to refill off the city tap. A good amount of that was tap water and rain water before. I have yet to learn from this as I have almost drained it again today messing with a UV clarifier.

DE, or Diatomaceous earth. You can get it at tractor supply, but it only works when it is dry.

Also, next time raise your pump up a bit so that it can not pump the tank dry. Mine has pumped all the water out a few times, but my tank still has about 6 inches of water in it when my pump stops pumping.

It also never damaged my pumps. The pumps have a thermal overload protection. When they get hot they should turn off, and not turn back off until you unplug them. I left a bunch of my pumps run dry before and never had one not come back on.
