No fish yet

I've been cleared by Cape Nature for trout and Tilapia.
The trout don't do summer though and the Tilapia will be at the bottom of their temp range in the winter.
I do have a cool design in my head for a solar water heater that should raise the temp by a few degrees.

I just don't want to be forced to harvest all the fish at once and then change to another then repeat in a few months time.

Welcome Mr. Python,

Great looking system.

Judging by your pavers & the besser block, your sump and GB's look smaller than a standard IBC, and the fish tank looks too be standard size, am I correct?

I got my GB's and Tanks from a fellow who was running about 100 sets (1gb 200mm deep as a continuous flow system) with the bottom as a tank and the bed overflowing from a notch, no plumbing)

I used 1 tank as is, 800mm high, for the FT. I built a stand to lift it for gravity feeding the beds.
The sump i took another ring off so it could fit under the rack. 600mm high

The growbeds i heated and moulded 50mm poly pipe and riveted it to the top of the spikes left when the beds were cut from the tanks (top support ring was left on the tank end.)

The beds flood and drain to a level of about 190mm and the flattened piping gives about 50 - 60mm of extra depth to carry a bit of dry stone at the top.

Was wondering how long it would take for you to show up.
gonna add the DWC tank to mine this weekend.

Got a shooting match on Saturday which kinda slows things down a bit. But I'm in a branch that is close to home today so I might be able to poke a stick at it this afternoon.

After seeing the pics of your system I'll have to up my game a bit and make mine look prettier :thumbleft:

The power went off for 8hrs on Wednesday night. Stuff looked fine in the morning but it took strain during the day.
Scored and old UPS out of the IT junk yard.

So If i can figure out how it works maybe I can wire it in for a bit of resilience. The pump only draws 64w
